Hi, I'm Ashley. I'm a frontend engineer in Seattle, and I've been building websites for about 18 years, mostly ecommerce.

These days I work mainly in React, TypeScript, and Next.js, with a lot of headless commerce on BigCommerce, Shopify, Contentful, and Makeswift. Earlier in my career I managed more than 200 WordPress sites, which taught me a lot about keeping things organized and maintainable.

I came to development from design, so I pay attention to how things look and feel, not just whether they work. I'm usually the one translating between designers, developers, and clients, and I enjoy leading teams, working through tricky technical problems, and building components that are easy to reuse.

Outside of work, I spend time with dogs, play games, and hang out with my husband.
